DMI participates in Drone Show Korea 2021

Doosan Mobility Innovation (DMI) first introduced the new product "DS30W," which was developed to withstand all weather conditions, at Korea's largest drone exhibition.
DMI made an announcement on the 29th that it will participate as the main exhibitor of 'Drone Show Korea 2021' which will be held at BEXCO, Busan from April 29th to May 1st. Drone Show Korea is the nation's largest drone exhibition, which started in 2016 and is the fifth this year, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The DS30W, disclosed at this exhibition, has enhanced wind resistance compared to existing products, withstanding an average wind speed of 12m/s and instantaneous wind speed of 15m/s. Considering that 14m/s wind generally alerts strong wind warnings, it can be guaranteed that DMI's hydrogen drone can perform its duties even in bad weather. It also acquired IP43 levels with its waterproof and dustproof function. In addition, other enhancements include ▲Increased flight distance (average 45Km to 60Km) ▲Easy arm and landing gear assembly ▲Improved tightening strength between parts ▲Improved product performance such as reduced power consumption due to improved gas efficiency.
On April 29th and 30th, Professor Lee Kuk-jong of Ajou University, the top professional in the field of trauma surgery in Korea, gave a lecture on hydrogen drones' maritime mission performance at the DMI booth. Professor Lee successfully conducted life-saving demo flight in Boryeong, Incheon, Jeju, and Busan last year along with DMI and the Coast Guard.
Professor Lee Kuk-jong said, "In recent years, we have been conducting demonstration tests in contact with various drone companies. Hydrogen drones are the most useful for accurately diagnosing patients' conditions and delivering medical supplies. Hydrogen drones are the best in terms of 'cost-effectiveness', as helicopters are expensive and battery drones have limited range of activities because they are greatly affected by the weather environment and have only 30 minutes of flight time," he said.
CEO of DMI Lee Doo-soon said, "With the launch of DS30W, which has strong wind resistance and waterproof function, DMI hydrogen drones will be able to provide solutions in more diverse environments." DMI is developing various applications in the mobility field from aerial drones to ground hydrogen fuel cell fire robots, and is actively pushing for overseas expansion by obtaining European Integrated Standard Certification (CE) for hydrogen fuel cell packs in February this year.
