Doosan Mobility Innovation to Participate in Geo Week 2023 Exhibition

Exploring Strategic Partners and Customers in the Field of Precision Surveying and Mapping

2023.02.13

Doosan Mobility Innovation (DMI) will be exploring opportunities to attract American customers in the field of precision surveying and mapping, by participating in 'Geo Week 2023', which takes place in Denver, USA from February 13 to 15.

Geo Week is an event where companies related to spatial information, such as 3D technology, advanced aviation, and architectural environment, participate to exchange technology and form networks. This year, about 190 companies are participating.

At the exhibition, DMI plans to introduce the hydrogen fuel cell power pack DM15 and hydrogen drone DS30W, with a focus on finding strategic partners and customers for entering the Lidar market. Lidar is a device that fires laser pulses, measures the distance to an object by receiving light reflected back from the object, and creates a 3D image. Using drones in this process can yield superior and effective surveying and mapping results.

DMI's hydrogen drone DS30W can fly for over two hours and has the durability to continuously secure information data from spaces that are difficult for humans to access directly. Through a web-based ground control system and real-time monitoring dashboard, it can provide various solutions. In fact, DMI has provided solutions for gas pipeline monitoring, beach monitoring, and maritime rescue demonstrations.

A DMI official stated, "Given the increasing demand for spatial information measurement in the U.S., we will strengthen our marketing activities to offer various solutions using our long-flight-capable hydrogen drone, and make inroads into the Lidar market."
